Melinda Fay brings to equine photography a life-long interest in horses and many years experience in art, including photography. Using camera and film as the medium, she captures the inherent beauty of the horse. Years ago, she began photographing horses in order to build a reference library from which to draw and paint, but then realized that she takes great pleasure in the photographic process for its own sake.
Using both 35 mm and medium format cameras, Ms. Fay specializes in horse portraits but also does conformation, under saddle, working, or at liberty shots.
